I found this an enjoyable and easy read. Spelled picked up exactly where Casted ended and it is only a little half as long as Casted. The two fit like they were one book torn into two parts with the first part ending in a cliffhanger (yuk!). Even though there were several characters in Casted, Spelled mainly revolves around the main character Jade and Elliot with the bad guy Lorenzo and his brutish sidekick Leif. The love of Jade's life is mostly a zombie in this book and doesn't figure much into the story until near the end. The other bunch of characters from Casted are barely in this part of the story at all.Even so, as I said it was an enjoyable read. It has a happy ending--and No cliffhanger! Thank you. It leaves wiggle room for more books. The three factions of Casters have a chance to make amends. Or not. The Triad has the most promise to, but the Nomads could easily go either way. And Jade now has her powers unbound and needs to learn what they are and how to use& control them. The author has quite a bit of material that could go into sequels if she chooses. Myself, I would look forward to them.

I just loved this book! The beginning threw me for a loop, what a great job of writing. I even laughed out loud at a certain part, I must say the "stinky part" was the best scene ever ! Great book about witches , couldn't put it down , the only downside I wish there was more!!
Good follow up but still had trouble with the grammatical errors (and I'm not a grammar critic by any stretch of the imagination). It just takes away from the story when you have to keep on correcting things mentally as you're reading.
I absolutely loved this book series. I couldn't put it down. This book is magical and dramatic. I am a sucker for magic. Very easy read and easily followed. Will be reading again in the future.
Jade awakens to find shes been captured by the Triad. Her grandfather has his evil doctor do a spell that makes her forget that she's not from her coven by with him. But also, he has captured Edge and has done the same to him. She gets her memory back, but has to try and rescue Edge, Leif and Leif's book. If you loved Casted, you are going to love this book more!! Lots of surprises and a GREAT ending!!!
This set of books was so good to read. They were sweet with excitement threw in. Along with some great action. These books don't give you time to get bored. It's like fast action. Never giving you a chance to break cause you don't want the book to end. So if you want a paranormal book that has you trying to guess what happens next read this set of books.
When I saw the twists and turns book 2 made from book one I was terrified that the book would flop and I'd hate it. I was wrong! I was impressed with the way things happened in book 2 and it kept me glued to the pages until the very end. My only complaint is that when I went to buy book 3 it didn't exist yet! I'd love to see more of these characters and don't feel like I've had enough yet.

Spelled picks up right where Casted left off. You jump right back into the action and the pace never seems to slow down. There are more twists and turns with every chapter. At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about the ending, it wasn’t quite what I was expecting, but after thinking about it for a few days I think I’ve come around to liking it. As a longtime reader of Sonya Loveday’s books it was fun to read some of her early work and be able to see where she started and how she has honed her skill.
